A Journey of Grace ---
John Lynch, in his powerful message called "True Faced", talks about the "Room of Grace"*. This is a place we must choose to be, for it is HERE that authenticity, freedom, identity and growth take place.
Unfortunately our world, and even sometimes the church, encourages us to pursue the path of "performance". That journey only brings bondage, frustration and inner confusion because I am forced to wear a mask in order to be accepted and loved.
The Onesimus Connection desires to provide an avenue of grace through life coaching, Counseling, teaching and opportunities to experience an authentic relationship with God .

"GRACE" … What is it? … Do we REALLY KNOW?
In his book, “Freedom From Addiction”, Dr. Neil Anderson talks about “10 reasons why Christians are not free”. One of those he mentions is: “Christians have an inadequate understanding of grace. They Don't know that they are dead to the law and everything is permissible and are still trying to perform and measure up to get their acceptance and worth".
Unfortunately, many church leaders & churches today teach a “performance based” Christianity. They talk about “grace” and throw the word out there … BUT … when it comes down to it … the underlying message comes across that your worth and value before God and others is measured by how well you “perform”.
Jesus was constantly battling that false teaching in His day with the pharisees … and we still have that problem today. Go to the TAB “resources” then “Links” on this website and then “click” on the link “unpresentable”. This short video clip will give you a better understanding of what I am talking about.
Grace is the journey we must take. It is a journey of freedom, authenticity and growth. The world … and even the church many times … would have us to believe that our focus should be on correcting our “behavior”. They want us to believe that if we are going to be love and accepted by others … and even by God … that we have to “measure up” … BUT … there is nothing Biblical about that whatsoever.
Paul, in his letter to the Galatians, said “What actually took place is this: I tried keeping rules and working my head off to please God, and it didn't work. So I quit being a "law man" so that I could be God's man. Christ's life showed me how, and enabled me to do it. I identified myself completely with him. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God Christ lives in me. ….. If a living relationship with God could come by rule-keeping,then Christ died unnecessarily”
THAT ... MY FRIEND … IS THE “JOURNEY OF GRACE”!
LET US HELP YOU FIND … AND WALK ... THAT JOURNEY!
